Sweet faces
Here are a few sweet faces from a recent family shoot. I can't share too many til after the holidays, because some are gifts. But these, these I couldn't resist.

Ms. Hannah turns 16

I remember it like it was yesterday. Standing in your doorway, saying goodbye to your mamma and you, and you threw your arms around me, squeezed, and told me you loved me for the first time. It's hard to believe that was 8 years ago, and that you are already 16. Part of me wants to go back to when you were 8 - when you had more time to hang out, back when you thought I was cool. :) But another part of me is ok with you being 16 and DRIVING (really, driving), and being too busy to get ice cream, and all the stuff that goes along with being a teenager. You are such an amazing kid Hannah. To say I love you, well, it hardly touches the surface of how much I care about you. It would be humanly impossible to love you more than I do. I am so freakin proud of who you are, what you have accomplished, and who you are turning into. I am so excited to see where you will go in this world and all that you will do. I hope you know that know matter how grown up you become, or where this world takes you, I will always drop everything at the opportunity to take you for ice cream. Happy Birthday.

The Schmidts

I had the pleasure of taking some family pics for the Schmidt family. Can I tell you how much I adore this family? They radiate love. Derek is in the middle east as a fire fighter, and came home for the holidays. It was a great time to take some family pictures - since they had none since Ms. Reecie was born. Did I mention I adore this family?

The Jones Family - Sneak Peak
Don't you just want to eat him up? He was so stinkin cute.

What a beautiful girl. And she told me she doesn't like getting her pictures taken because she doesn't look good. I wish I could look so bad!

A Senior/Family Session

I am going to be perfectly honest here. Before I met Andrea and her family, I was nervous! Very, very nervous. My friend Diane said such nice things about me to Andrea, I didn't think I could live up to the hype. I am still not sure I did, but I am keeping my fingers crossed! Here are a few from this past Sunday. I still have lots and lots more to go through (about 500) but wanted to post a few so Andrea could get a sneak peak.

Can an out of focus picture be a good picture?

I can't explain it. I know the photo is out of focus. I know it. But I still love it. It just screams happiness and innocence to me. Maybe I am crazy. Maybe I am the only one who sees it. Maybe everyone else looks at it and says "um, does she know it is out of focus?" - but I see it and it is one of my favorites of all time.
